Luxury Property Show – Olympia, London

Luxury Property Show – Olympia, London

With the most prominent position at the recent Luxury Property Show, held at the world famous Olympia, in the heart of London, Dale Sorensen Real Estate were well placed to display the best of Indian River and Brevard County.

Many wealthy buyers from across Europe, the Middle East and Asia – together with their advisers, thronged the show, which is recognised for featuring some of the very finest homes from across the world.

Dale Sorensen Jr. commented, “London is one of the most influential cities in the world for people with wealth.  It is important that we are seen there with our clients’ homes.  A show like this is ideal and complements our own UK marketing team working in London’s West End.  We are never content to wait for buyers to come to us.  We prefer to go to them. Olympia is a venue recognized across the world as “the” venue for a show such as this.”

Nick Churton of Dale Sorensen Real Estate London office said “This is the eighth consecutive year that we have taken part in this prestigious event and this was the busiest by far.  Over two days we spoke to more buyers than ever before.  The internet is a valuable tool for buyers, but no one has yet come up with anything to beat one-to-one conversation.”

The Luxury Property Show is for specially invited guests.  It gives them a private view of the crème de la crème of international luxury real estate.  These are very discerning and demanding buyers but the property on show surpasses most expectations.

Dale Jr. added, “This is yet another way that Dale Sorensen Real Estate, working with our specialist team in London, can further access the global market and widen our search for buyers.”

COASTAL LUXURY PROPERTIES SUMMER 2018 | All New Escape- Thailand “Sarojin”

Discover Thailand

Location: The Sarojin, Thailand

The Sarojin encompasses everything you could want in vacation: All the amenities of a five-star luxury resort with the proximity to both rainforests and diving locations and a romantic atmosphere on top of all that. Fairly intimate, its 56 rooms are situated on 11km of beach in Khao Lak, near the Similan Islands’ diving sanctuaries, five national parks, and Phang Nga Bay’s limestone islands. And, even if you want to play a round, three 18-hole golf courses sit within an hour from its grounds.

“The Sarojin encompasses everything you could want in a vacation.”

Seven two-story buildings, each set within a 10-acre tropical garden, house the 56 residences, each created to have a peaceful atmosphere not far removed from the nature outside. While simple, your stay here gives you complimentary access to catamarans, kayaks, windsurfers, paddleboards, mountain bikes, and the fitness center.

So, where do you begin? To take in as much of your surroundings as possible, start with The Sarojin’s personal guides and Imagineer personal concierge. Their insights and recommendations, let you plan any number of “just for two” excursions on land, in the water, or some combination thereof. Beyond swimming, diving, or kayaking, consider a guided jungle adventure, complete with a gourmet-style safari lunch, or a private charter on luxury yacht Lady Sarojin.

As well, their input isn’t only those once-in-a-lifetime adventures. Work with the resort’s team to create a romantic dining experience according to your tastes – by a jungle waterfall, on a white sandy beach, or even on a river bank following a cooking class.

Much like the activities around the resort, dining, too , turns into a journey. Taste top-notch Thai and Mediterranean cuisine at the resort’s two restaurants, Edge and Fiscus, while the award-winning wine cellar and bar are stocked with an excellent selection of imported beverages. A la carte breakfast is further served all day, with sparkling wine included. To top is all off, wherever you go, a view of the beach turns even the most mundane experience into a romantic occasion.

No resort vacation is complete without a spa, and The Sarojin situates the award-winning Pathways over its main estuary and central lay line. Much like the residences, the spa, too feels secluded while taking advantage of its natural surroundings – here, a coconut grove and the Andaman Sea in the distance. After walking along its winding boardwalk, you can select from an array of treatments performed in four open-air pavilions, and finish your stay with a rain shower or couple’s bath.

Named a Conde Nast Traveler Readers Award Top Hotel in 2017, The Sarojin has one distinct advantage. Because of the weather, you can schedule your trip at any time of the year, and have access to the same assortment of intimate, adrenaline-pumping land and water adventures.

BROKER Q&A

Dale and Matilde Sorensen: Dale Sorensen Real Estate, Inc.

How did you start real estate?

MS: I owned a quaint little store on the Barrier Island and I was helping Dale with his real estate company when I decided to become a Realtor® myself. It worked well as we also had two young children with busy schedules. I’ve also really loved interior design and home décor so it was a perfect fit for me. That was 40 years ago and I haven’t regretted it for one minute.

DS: I started Dale Sorensen Real Estate in 1978 out of necessity – I needed a job. The large company I worked at for 10 years was moving out of the area and we did not want to relocate. My responsibilities with them included managing their real estate interest in Florida and their resort properties in the Dominican Republic, so I had to obtain my broker’s license. After a lot of discussion with Matilde and our family, we decided to go into business ourselves.

What are you favorite parts of your job?

MS: I love meeting new people and getting to know them and their families. It’s fun sharing everything that Vero Beach has to off

er; this is a growing community, but it’s never lost its small-town feel. I love going into homes and learning all the specifics about each one and what makes it unique and special.

What makes your company stand out?

DS: Since our inception, we have made community service a priority. We are company, and a family, that gives back to the community in many ways. In addition, we have created a very recognizable brand, not only in our area, but throughout the industry; for this we are indebted to our children, Dale Jr. and Elizabeth. We are noted for our creative marketing programs and cutting-edge technology. Two of they key elements that bind all this together are our reputation for fairness and honesty along with the level of service we provide our customers. In very simple terms – you reap what you sow.

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?

DS: Outside of work I enjoy fishing and diving with my grandson, JD, and son, Dale Jr. I still play little tennis and play golf regularly. Matilde and I love to travel and to have been fortunate to have traveled all over the world.

Where are you favorite places to travel?

DS: Italy – especially Tuscany and Venice, Napa Valley, Burgundy, London, Paris and Hong Kong.

What inspires you to succeed?

MS: It’s the people that inspire me to succeed. Success to me is when I hand over the keys to a home and see the looks on the new homeowner’s face; that look of pride and ownership. Or when I’m able to tell a seller that I found a buyer for their home. I don’t feel like I sell homes – I develop a relationship with clients based on their personalities and find them the perfect home.

Coastal Luxury Properties Summer 2018 | New Four Seasons Resort Seychelles Island Escape

Opening in early 2018, the Four Seasons Resort Seychelles at Desroches Island aims to blend everything you’d want out of a vacation: all the amenities and luxury of a top-tier resort, with the isolation and intimacy you could only dream about. Gone are the nearby crowds and packed beaches; rather, the island’s forest, soft Indian Ocean sands, and intriguing underwater seascapes are yours to take in.

Creating this character, the resort is the only property of its type on Desroches Island, itself one of the 115 islands composing the Seychelles’ archipelago and a 35-minute flight from the main island of Mahé. Once you’re there, its 933 acres feels expansive, especially when framed with nine miles of white sands. The result represents the ultimate getaway.

Within this setting sit 71 beachfront bungalows, villas, residences, and suites, all adorned with rustic, natural décor reminiscent of the 19th century explorer era, while modern amenities, private pools, indoor-outdoor bathrooms, and daybed pavilions round out their essentials. For dining, the Lighthouse – a grill and seafood raw bar – lets you look out at the Indian Ocean’s vastness, and Claudine takes influence from the Mediterranean Riviera’s cuisine.

Yet, in getting away from it all, the urge to explore and know this secluded paradise pushes you outdoors, and that’s where both the Castaway Centre and Discovery Centre come in. The former serves as your introduction to the island, while the Discovery Centre gets into more detail about the Seychelles’ flora and fauna, including its natural history and the island Conservation Society’s Tortoise Sanctuary, itself home to 150 giant Aldabra tortoises.

But, why stay on the land? The coral barrier surrounding the island’s perimeter creates a place to swim, snorkel, kayak, or windsurf. And, better yet, the environment creates one of the Seychelles’ top diving locations home to 15 classified sites with wall dives, passages, troughs, caves, and tunnels. Your journey, guided by certified professionals, further lets you observe its stunning coral groupings and marine life. The setting, too, is one of he region’s best fishing spots – especially if you’re attempting some offshore angling.

After all that – on top of any biking you do across the island – the Spa is open for serene relaxing retreat. Like the living accommodations, its approach is one of straightforward, natural luxury – from the setting itself to the treatments and the yoga program. Facials, massages, and body work by Terres d’Afrique incorporate natural skincare base on Africa’s botanical history, while each of its rooms comes complete with a private washroom and shower.

Associate Kim Tillett Finds Success On Reality TV Programs

In a little less than two years, Kim Tillett has earned a bit of a reputation for HGTV programs.

Tillett, a broker associate with Dale Sorensen Real Estate, has notched appearances on five episodes for two HGTV programs.

Tillett filmed her first episode in 2015 for Beachfront Bargain Hunt, which premiered in January of 2016.

She has also filmed four episodes for HGTV’s Island Life. The first three appeared in 2017 and the fourth will premier this fall.  She recently received a call from “Island Life” producers about filming another episode this summer.

“I love being a part of HGTV’s shows,” Tillett said. “When they called me in 2015 and offered me the opportunity, I jumped at the chance to highlight our community on a popular television show.  I’m very flexible with my schedule so I’m able to work with their schedules and timing.  And, I love meeting people and talking to them and showing property.”

It’s also good exposure for Dale Sorensen Real Estate and Brevard County.  Tillett has shown properties on Merritt Island and in Cocoa Village for the shows.

Formerly from New York, Tillett attended college at the University of Central Florida, moved back to New York, and then relocated permanently to Florida 16 years ago.  She joined Dale Sorensen Real Estate in May 2017 to take advantage of the company’s brand and marketing.

Tillett works out of Dale Sorensen’s recently opened Cocoa Village office.  She specializes in high end luxury properties on Merritt Island and in Cocoa Village with a focus on Brevard’s coastline, including beachfront and waterfront single family and homes and condominiums.

Tillett can be reached at 321-446-9035, email her at ktillett@sorensenealestate.com.

Associate Rupa Patel Visits Mayfair International

Associate Rupa Patel and her family had the chance to stop into our London office, Mayfair International Realty, during their summer travels to visit our team in the UK. Nick Churton, Managing Director, and Annette Reeve, Director and Kirsty Stephens, Public Relations Director (pictured), toured Rupa and her family around the office and discussed the latest trends in international real estate.

So what exactly is Mayfair? And how do they keep us connected globally? We’ve got your answers here:

Hand-Selected
As an independent brokerage, DSRE is in the position to carefully consider which global affiliations will best benefit our customers. Mayfair International Realty was hand-selected by the leadership of DSRE for their ability to present our sellers’ homes to countless buyers, internationally.

London and Beyond
With a location in the heart of London, Mayfair’s extensive network of real estate agents provides broad coverage throughout the United Kingdom and around the world.

Exposing Indian River & Brevard County, Florida to Europe
Those who live in the U.K. and Europe appreciate sunshine just as much as we do here. Purchasing a second home in Florida is looking more and more like a solid investment thanks to the safety of the U.S. dollar and our overall political stability. Mayfair is on-hand to expose our region as an attractive alternative to traditional sun-filled European destinations like the south of France, Spanish Coast, or Greece.

Center of Media
Mayfair provides our agents and sellers with outstanding editorial coverage in UK and international media.  Publishers are constantly seeking content, and Mayfair has developed solid relationships with journalists in search of news related to new developments, centers for sunshine, or homes with outstanding features. Mayfair, DSRE Merketing, and Agents work together, placing our sellers’ homes for sale in magazines and newsprint all over the world.
