DSRE Broker Associate Matilde Sorensen Announces Significant Price Reduction for Riverfront Estate

VERO BEACH, FL/FEBRUARY 2020 – Dale Sorensen Real Estate Broker Associate Matilde Sorensen has announced a significant price drop for “Palm Cottage”, a magnificent riverfront estate on Vero Beach’s Barrier Island. Originally listed for $8,875,000, the price has been reduced to $7,500,000.  The property is located at 721 Grove Place in Orchid Island.

“This is one of Vero Beach’s most beautiful homes,” Sorensen said. “It has one of the most magnificent master suites with a fireplace that is visible from both the bedroom and the bath.  The kitchen is every cook’s dream.  But the view of the river and the amazing outdoor living space is simply breathtaking. It’s a great place to watch our famous Florida sunsets or see dolphins jumping.”

Situated on nearly an acre of lush, tropically landscaped property, with expansive views of the Indian River, the 2 guest cottages and main house make up almost 9,000 square feet of living area.  The estate includes a beautiful courtyard featuring a glimmering pool and spa, a lovely “mermaid” fountain and splashes of meticulous green lawn. The main house features polished marble floors, a total of 9 fireplaces, 2 bedrooms, 5 baths, and an elevator to the second floor. The Chef’s kitchen is impeccable with white plantation style cabinetry, two sinks, a side by side Sub-Zero fridge with 3 freezer drawers, double built-in ovens, and an island featuring a 6-burner Thermador gas stovetop and overhead hood vent.  The adjacent family room looks out onto the lanai.  The first-floor guest suite is complete with its own laundry area and a full size ensuite featuring a marble surround jacuzzi tub.

On the second floor is the impressive master suite. The bedroom itself is elegant with glowing wood floors, a unique custom-built wood-beamed tray ceiling and a private deck to view the area’s stunning sunsets.  The lavish master bath is magnificent with marble floors, black and gold furniture-style footed sinks, an oval jacuzzi tub and another one of the home’s beautiful stone fireplaces.  The all-marble master shower has multiple shower heads and features a large window that overlooks the Indian River lagoon.

The master suite also includes a beautifully appointed den and a piano room with glorious views of the river.  Both rooms feature polished wood floors, custom tray ceilings and access to the private balcony.  Access to the second floor is granted through a stone staircase or via a private elevator.

The north and south cottages are separated by a walk-through. The north cottage has 2 bedrooms while the South cottage features 1 bedroom.  Both cottages feature laundry rooms, kitchens, living rooms and ample windows to allow for lots of natural light while the ground floor rooms open to the courtyard.

The outdoor living spaces of this home are incomparable and feature a summer kitchen, covered lanai, open pool deck with twin fireplaces on either side of a beautiful heated pool and 4 single-stream fountains.

The home’s dock is accessed just off the main pool and offers fishing, boating and views of the Indian River Lagoon with all its local flora and fauna. Watch dolphins, turtles, egrets and other wildlife from the privacy of your own dock.

Located on Vero Beach’s Barrier Island in the exclusive community of Orchid Island, residents enjoy a world class lifestyle and amenities.

“It was our pleasure and honor to represent the seller of one of the finest riverfront homes built in Brevard. As far as fit and finish is concerned, I would put this home in the top 3 that I’ve seen in my 23-year career,” said Dewayne Carpenter. “Homes in this price category do not sell overnight. After a multifaceted, ongoing marketing campaign, we were able to find the perfect buyer who also had competent buyer representation. The best part was a successful closing and a happy client.”

DSRE Staff and Agents Participate in Annual Soup Bowl for Samaritan Center for Homeless Families of IRC

Common room area set up for pot luck lunch with tables covered in light blur tablecloths

VERO BEACH, FL/NOVEMBER 2019 – Dale Sorensen Real Estate (DSRE) staff and agents recently participated in the annual soup bowl to raise funds for the Samaritan Center for Homeless Families of IRC.  This is the seventh year that the company has participated in the event.

Participants were able to choose from a variety of eleven different soups, all made and donated by the staff and agents.  Soups included Black Bean & Ham Soup, Moroccan Beef Stew, Hamburger Soup, Corn Chowder,
Curried Butternut Squash, Chicken Vegetable Soup, Chicken and Dumplings Soup, Minestrone Soup, Chicken Tortilla Soup, Avgolemono Chicken Soup with Rice and Cajun Bean & Ham Soup.  The event raised over $500 for the Center.

According to the Center’s Facebook page, the Samaritan Center for Homeless Families of IRC is a long-term transitional residential facility for homeless families in Indian River County with a structured step-based program with onsite 24-hours a day case managers that help pregnant women and homeless families develop the life skills needed for successful reintegration into mainstream society.  This is the 27th year that the Samaritan Soup Bowl has been held in Indian River County.  More than forty businesses and organizations hosted the event at their individual locations.

This is just one of many ways that DSRE gives back to the communities they serve.  With the company leadership cultivating the culture of giving, those within the company at all levels also consider themselves “community servants”.  Hundreds of volunteer hours and thousands of dollars are donated on behalf of a multitude of non-profit and charitable organizations in the community and around the world.  Staff and sales agents volunteer on boards and at events, selling everything from soup to fish tacos, hosting parties, dancing in the local “dancing with Vero’s Stars” and traveling abroad to provide medical treatment for impoverished nations.  The company also hosts the Annual Vero Beach Easter Parade and Photos with Santa.

Since 2014, DSRE has donated space to charities in its stand-alone real estate broadsheet in the Press Journal. The charities take advantage of this donation to market their events and fundraising purposes.  Organizations like The Boys & Girls Club, Environmental Learning Center, Riverside Theater, Indian River Community Foundation, Hibiscus Children’s Center, Harvest Food & Outreach Center, Children’s Home Society, VNA, Indian River Medical Center, Indian River Firefighters’ Fair, the Humane Society and others have all taken advantage of the generous donation.  The marketing piece gives the organizations a marketing opportunity they would never be able to afford otherwise. The company donates over $250,000 a year in advertising space alone.
